1. LUST: Besides your current Significant Other who do you lust for or have you lusted for?
I don't have a Significant Other so my lusting has been free from restriction. :) I'm currently all about a couple of fictional characters on Lost (no, not the actors that play them - though I wouldn't exactly turn them down). I'm completely panting over Jack and Sayid. I just can't help it.
2. GLUTTONY: What food brings out your inner glutton?
That's a tough one. I don't know that there's any food in particular that turns me gluttonous, but I do know that if I slip off the healthy eating wagon then it's all downhill from there. For me, one bad turn begets others.
3. GREED: What are you greedy for?
Success. Money. Money as a fruit of my success. Pretty much just success and money in any combination thereof.
4. SLOTH: What is your plan for an ideal day of sloth?
Oh wow. I think it would be on my couch, with a good book (or two), wine, and a Star Trek: The Next Generation marathon on TV. Good day.
5. WRATH: Describe a time that you let out a can of whoop ass on someone.
You know, I'm thinking about this and I'm hard pressed to even remember the last time I was mad enough to yell at someone. Perhaps when I was trying to get the ex to move out. He actually didn't get how out of my life he was until I started dating someone else. I think he always expected me to be there and that really, really pissed me off. Along with the fact that he didn't pay rent or help out with the bills and holled up in "his" room all day with the damned Xbox. I gave him an "out by" date and the night before I still saw no signs of leaving. I absolutely lost it.
6. ENVY: Who or what do you envy? Why?
I envy people who are my age and have the things that I want. I still kick myself to some extent for not doing some of the stuff I really wanted to have done by now. But I do have to keep in mind that I work hard - very hard. Holding down as many jobs as I need to at any given time to make ends meet. And still go to school and maintain A's and B's. That in and of itself is an acheivment. But I'm still really envious of people my age who are done with their educations, moved into their careers and are starting their families. That's just where I thought I'd be by now.
7. PRIDE: Have you ever had to swallow your pride? What are you proud of?
I'm most proud of my independence so what makes me have to swallow my pride most is to admit I made a mistake and ask for help. I've had to do that recently. It's not fun. But it's better to just ask for the help than it is to wallow in a problem that will likely only get worse with time. I've now learned that lesson the hard way. Twice.
1. Do you believe anyone truly likes their job? If so, why?
I know people who truly like their jobs, and in all fairness, 75% of the time I truly like mine. Sometimes having something to get up and do everyday - especially when it's something you enjoy doing - is happiness all on its own. That's not to say that I'd keep doing my job if money was not an issue - but I'd probably have a different job that I'd enjoy because I'd have to have something to do with my time.
2. Do you 1) live to work or 2) work to live 3) not see a difference?
Right now I work to live. In the past, I've lived to work. My old job was great for me. It was the place I worked that sort of tainted me on the whole thing. Also, it was pretty high stress. I knew that I needed to do something else when I'd developed 5 stress conditions by the age of 22.
3. How many hours do you work a week?
It varies. On a light week I'll work about 45. During special projects I'll work between 55 and 60. That's so much better than the days when I was working 75 to 80. :)
4. What was your safety item (i.e. blankie) from when you were little?
I didn't have a safety item. I did develop an imaginary friend named "Baby", though. She was teeny tiny.
5. Have you ever used food during sex?
Nope - and I really have no desire.
Bonus (as in optional):What is your guilty food pleasure?
I don't know that I have any foods that are a guilty pleasure. If I want it, I eat it. Even when I'm trying to be good I'll have just a little. One thing I've learned about me is that if I completely deprive myself of something it won't take long before I'm going completely overboard on it.
Okay, this week really is TMI. Turn back now if you don't want to know - you've been warned. :-)
1. What's your favorite color of lingerie?
I don't know that I have a favorite color - I really like black, though.
2. Do you have a porn collection?
I don't know that you'd so much call it a collection...
3. Do you have any fetishes?
I'm involved with the BDSM community. Some people count that. I don't.
4. What is your favorite place to have sex?
In bed.
5. Do you like to scratch, bite, pull hair, etc? Do you like having it done to you?
I don't particularly like to do it, but I like to have it done.
Bonus (as in optional): Do you think the number of sexual partners you've had is below average, average, or above average, and how does that make you feel?
I feel like the number is average. I feel fine about that.
1. If you're in love with your partner, does it make the sex better?
I honestly don't know.
2. What is the most expensive sex toy you've ever purchased?
Couldn't be that expensive - probably $40 or so.
3. If you knew ahead of time you would not have an orgasm, would you still have sex?
Yes.
4. What celebrity would you most like to have sex with if given the chance?
Dermot Mulroney, I think.
5. Have you ever had sex while an audience watched?
No.
Bonus (as in optional): Describe the best sexual encounter you've ever had.
I'd been sleeping with the same guy for about 4 years. Last September or October he and I were both out (on a Thursday) and there was much drinking. We went home together. He was both drunk and strung out on shitty cocaine, but for whatever reason it made him generous where he'd never been in the past.
1. How old were you when you first kissed a boy?
I think I must have been about eleven.
2. Who would play you in the movie of your life story?
Wow, that's a hard one. I have no idea.
3. What is the number one thing your love/hate about gay people?
BDSM pretty much sprung up out of the gay subculture and I'm pretty happy about that.
4. If you could legally get married to "the fella" - or any fella - would you?
I think this question is asking me if I'd ever get married, and yes, I would. But only to the right person.
5. Have you ever worn short short shorts in public?
Nope.
Bonus (as in optional): Who is your favorite blogger?
There are several that I read pretty regularly: Midnight Tails from the Covert Lover, Down The Rabbit Hole, Not Your Average Chick, Ramblings From an Insatiable Submissive, [this is connie], and Kelly.
1. What lines have you used to let someone down gently.
Mostly I've pretended to be oblivious to the fact that the person was interested.
2. If I gave you $10K to waste, what would you buy.
A laptop, and iPod, books, clothes. For me that's a lot of money so I'd have a hell of a time wasting it.
3. If I gave you $10K, but you had to spend it all on someone else, what would you buy.
That's a tough choice, because so many people so close to me could use that kind of help.
4. If your partner brought a double dildo to bed, you'd be ____________?
curious
5. What sounds to you make during sex.
Oh, the normal variety, I imagine.
Bonus (as in optional): Tell your worst break up story.
It's not that I've had such a bad break-up it's that it was long and drawn out. The first time we broke up was 2003 and it was only six or seven months ago that I really decided I was done. But, in all fairness, I was probably done long before that, goodness knows he was.
1. How many credit cards do you own? Are they paid off?
Just one, and no it's not.
2. Can you be in love with someone you don't trust?
Yes, I think you can, but I don't think you'll stay that way.
3. Should prostitution be legal?
Yes. This is one of those "why are we regulating personal choice" issues for me. Legalize it, standardize it (for STD testing and whatnot), it is after all the worlds oldest profession.
4. On a scale of 1-10, how good of a lover do you think you are? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Well, I do all right, I think. However, there's always room for improvement. I'm going to go with 6 or 7.
5. What are three mistakes someone could make on the first date with you that would automatically make you turn down a second date with them?
a.) Drinking to excess.
b.) Ask me if we can go somewhere cheap for _________. I understand money issues, but do your research and come up wtih something you can afford to do. I'm going to at least offer to pay for myself if I don't offer to pay for us both.
c.) Try to have too heated a discussion on politics or religion. The time will come for that later.
Bonus (as in optional): Tell us about your worst date ever.
About seven months or so ago now I went out with a guy I met online. He seemed pretty nice. The day we were to go out to dinner he called me and asked me if we could go to a cheap restaurant (his exact words) because he was a little strapped due to some car issues. Sure, no problem. As it happens I had chosen an inexpensive restaurant for us anyway. No more than $15 per person all tolled. So we meet at the restaurant and I discover that the pictures he'd posted of himself online were old and he had misrepresented himself. After we eat the check comes ($22) and he asks if we can split it. Sure. No problem. At this point I'm not even offering to buy dinner because he spent the entire meal talking about his mudding truck. We stand outside the restaurant and talk for a minute and he starts asking me about next time coming up to his place (he lived about 45 minutes away from me so we met in the middle for this dinner) and he'd cook dinner and we could sit in front of the fireplace and yada, yada, yada. I so wasn't feeling it. Needless to say I didn't go out with him again.
1. Is there a TV show you HAVE to watch? If so, what is it? There are several that I'm pretty into but thanks to network television putting the shows online there aren't any I feel I need to rush home for. But I love Men In Trees.
2. What is you favorite drink if you are going to drink more than one? Alcoholic drinks? Red Snappers - that's Crown, Amaretto and Cranberry Juice
3. How long do you carry guilt around with you? It depends on what I'm feeling guilty for. Generally, until I resolve it somehow by talking to the person or dealing with it internally.
4. Where is or would be your number one romantic get away spot? Honestly it's not a destination. Just me and my honey somewhere away from people and cell service where we can just be us without outside influences.
5. Have you ever seen a counselor? Yeah - I've been in school for a long time!
Bonus (as in optional): Last summer the Archives of Sexual Behavior the 237 reasons people have sex and the Top 50 Reasons Men and Women Have Sex. What are your top 5 reasons?
I don't really have a top five reasons, but here are 5 good reasons to have sex:
1. It's fun.
2. It feels good.
3. It's a way to connect with my partner.
4. It makes him happy.
5. It makes me feel desirable.
1. How many cell phones have you had? How long have you had your current cell phone number? Two. I've had the current one since May of 2002 so, six years?
2. Where was the last place you had sex? In a bed. :)
3. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with your love life? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest) For life the way it is now I'm pretty satisfied with my sex life - which is my love life - so I'm going with probably a 7.
4. Does Bliss sound like a fun game to you? Have you ever played it? Nope, never played it, but it looks interesting.
5. Is there anything or anyone you would be willing to die for? I feel like I'm supposed to say yes to this question and I sort of feel like the answer is yes - but when it came right down to crunch time, I'm not sure how I'd react.
Bonus (as in optional): If you were (or had) a magic genie and could only grant wishes for others and you only had three left, what would they be and who would they be for? I'd wish Tamera great success in school and career, I'd wish Heather the money and means to build her compound, and I'd wish that my mom wouldn't have a relapse with her cancer.
Notice that it's quite a bit tamer than it used to be? Well, chalk it up to the new public blog. This one wasn't especially steamy so I figured it could camp out here. :-)
